The Pink Panther Miree Coleman Returns To North Carolina September 29th On Vegas Grand Boxing Promotions’ Card
Miree “The Pink Panther” Coleman Battles 2017 North Carolina Newcomer Of The Year JacQuan “Da King” Townes For the WBF Cruiserweight Silver International Title On The Vegas Grand Boxing Promotions’ Card Billed “Marine vs. Army” In Charlotte, North Carolina
Fayetteville, NC (August 31) – Miree Coleman has fought in eleven professional boxing matches. Coleman’s last three fights have been title shots outside the state of North Carolina, so excuse the excitement as “The Pink Panther” returns to North Carolina September 29th to do battle for the WBF Cruiserweight title on Vegas Grand Boxing Promotions’ card in Charlotte, NorthCarolina.
Coleman 6-5 (4 KO’s) last fought in North Carolina on December 10, 2016. He won a Unanimous Decision over the previously unbeaten LaMarco Ellis. Since the fight, Coleman has been in three title fights on enemy turf. Coleman has earned the praise of fellow North Carolina fighters for taking the risk to fight anybody, anywhere, and anytime. He humbly brushes off all of the praise and calmly says, “I’m taking chances to be great. I fought a title holder in his own hometown and was robbed of a decision. I called out a champ that had a 17-2 record. I went to his hometown twice and fought him. Who else is doing what I am doing? Townes is in real trouble because he hasn’t faced the competition I have. He doesn’t have the talent of anyone I’ve faced. He has a boring defensive style. Which really sucks, because he isn’t a counterpuncher. Come September 29th, Charlotte, North Carolina will see I am the true King. I was King Coleman before he learned how to put on his trunks. After I win, it will be like I am 1-0 and everybody will be trying to fight me or see me! “Prey” for Townes! This message has been approved by the Pink Panther.”
Coleman is a U.S. Army veteran. While serving his country, Coleman was encouraged by his military boxing coach to attend the All-Army boxing trials. Coleman was honored to be recognized for his raw skills, but Coleman remembers coach lighting a fire in him and motivating him to do more than just try: “Coach told me I should try out for the All-Army team. He said I won’t win. Again, he said I won’t win, but it would be a good experience for me. When a man tells me I won’t, I do,” said Coleman. Coleman, who at the time had only been boxing for eight months, went on to win the All-Army Heavyweight Boxing title and earn the opportunity to participate in the U.S. Amateur national championships in Colorado Springs, CO.
The truly entertaining Coleman looks forward to reclaiming his spot at the top of North Carolina boxing, but he really looks to forward to knocking out a marine.
