Raleigh, North Carolina (January 4, 2021) – I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a happy and even better New Year. To those of you who do not celebrate either, Happy Holidays, and wish you the best in 2021!
Well, here we go again. It is that time of year when we shine a light on the commitment, dedication, and hard work put in by the professional boxing community in the state of North Carolina. Cboxinginfo.com is now accepting nominations for its 4th annual North Carolina Boxing Awards for 2020.
2020 was exceptionally challenging for many reasons but the lack of a North Carolina Boxing Commission and Covid-19 changed the game for the sport of boxing in the state of North Carolina.
While North Carolina Boxing in 2020 started with so much promise, Joseph Jackson Jr. kicked off the year winning a fight on Showtime’s SHOBox: The New Generation worldwide tv-series bringing positive National attention to North Carolina boxing, the year of boxing inside the state was abandoned and participants had to go elsewhere to make a living or compete.
So, it is with great honor and appreciation we give RECOGNITION to everyone (Win or Lose) from the state of North Carolina who in spite of any obstacles overcame and participated in the sport of boxing during the ugly and challenging 2020.
Boxing is still a sport of winners and losers. So fans here is your opportunity to nominate and vote for your favorite performances of 2020. Your vote isn’t just for recognition on our website.
***This year’s winners will be invited and receive sponsorship to participate in two www.cboxinginfo.com promoted events. Details will be released on February 1***
Criteria For Nominees:
Any professional boxing participant from the state of North Carolina or who makes a permanent residence in the state of North Carolina and competed in the Covid-19 year of 2020 is eligible for nomination. Manager of the year is for legally licensed Managers from the state of North Carolina and because of Covid-19, WE WILL include Advisors.
Please submit your nominees for the following categories by Sunday, January 24, 2021.
