(Brooklyn, NY – August 21) – Errol Spence 21 – 0 (18 KO’s) had all the hype coming into his showdown with Leonard Bundu 33-2-2 (12 KO’s). Ringside critics were predicting Spence would provide a mid round KO, and Errol Spence delivered a spectacular KO at 2:06 of the sixth round.
Errol Spence entered the ring with a visible size advantage over his veteran opponent. Spence was composed, and used his length to establish a strong jab that seemed to stop Bundu. Bundu, confused by Spences southpaw stance and long jab, often switched from southpaw to orthodox trying to find a way to get past Spences’s defense. Bundu would never find a comfort zone.
In a desperate measure, Bundu forced Spence to brawl in tight quarters. Unfortunately for Bundu, Spence obliged, and the beginning of the end started to come in round 4. Spence stood and exchanged landing powerful body shots that would eventually set up the left right combination that would finish Bundu off in the sixth round.
The Welterweight division shold be on high notice, because Errol Spence has the Goods!
