Raleigh, NC (August 20, 2016) – Undefeated boxing Phenom, Maynard Allison will be back in action September 16 at The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
Maynard Allison 5-0 (4 KO’s) will be facing his stiffest test to date in Mayweather Promotions’ Ladarius Miller.
Ladarius Miller 10-1 (2 KO’s) is looking to firmly establish himself in the lightweight division. After convincingly winning nine straight fights, Miller was outboxed by Rolando Chinea. Chinea would win by UD and hand Miller his first professional defeat.
Miller rebounded three months later (5/13/2016) winning by TKO over Carlos Castillo.
Maynard Allison, who is signed to Greg Cohen Promotions (GCP), is highly motivated and chomping at the bit for this fight. After a sensational first round stoppage of Ricky Speight on May 14, Mr. Marvelous has had “The Curse Of Being Good,” and been unable to get a willing opponent into the ring. The super talented Maynard Allison has his sites set on becoming a top contender in the Lightweight division. With a win, a strong performance, and behind the heavyweight backing of Greg Cohen Promotions (GCP), Allison’s goals of fame and world title hopes will begin to come to fruition.
After an impressive amateur career, where he won 44 bouts, became a 2x Golden Gloves Champion, won a North Carolina state title, won regionals in North Carolina, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, won a total of 8 belts, and was all conference in three high school sports, Maynard turned professional in 2015.
Maynard Allison is managed by Anthony Brown of “Bare Knuckles Entertainment” and coached by Keedar Massey of “Inner City Boxing Gym” in Durham, NC. Since joining forces with the powerful Greg Cohen Promotions (GCP), Team Allison continues to set a course for an extremely productive and very busy 2016.
